Get ready to rock because Aaron Watts and Gerald Vorster are a dynamic musical duo that have joined forces to create an unforgettable experience! From a young age, both Aaron and Gerald have had an insatiable passion for music that is evident in their performances.
Aaron's love for music started with his dad's constant playing of Elvis Presley records, and he quickly picked up the guitar at age 12 with the help of his foster brother. He also dabbled in piano and drums during his school years and wrote his first song at age 13. Since then, he has written hundreds of original works that will make your heart sing and your toes tap!
Gerald's interest in music stems from a family legacy of successful bands, and he has been an avid multi-instrumentalist and vocalist since the age of 8. Although he played the french horn in a classical ensemble during school, he has had no formal training and has learned from every musician he has met, including his parents, friends, instructional videos, and books.
When Aaron and Gerald came together in early 2019, their passion for music ignited a musical venture that has been non-stop excitement! They've been having a blast rehearsing and performing together, and they always look forward to bringing their energetic and fun-loving style to every audience. For them, music is all about having fun and enjoying the moment, and they can't wait to share that experience with you!
Performing with backtracks and as acoustic musicians each offer unique benefits. Backtracks can provide a full and polished sound that can enhance a live performance and make it sound like a full band is playing. They can also allow musicians to incorporate elements that may be difficult or impossible to reproduce live as a duo act. On the other hand, performing as acoustic musicians can create a more intimate and personal connection with the audience. It allows the musicians to showcase their raw talent and create a unique atmosphere that cannot be replicated with backtracks. It can also give the performance a more organic and natural feel. Ultimately, both methods have their advantages and can be utilized depending on the style of music and the desired effect for the performance.
